Artificial intelligence, virtual care, and new payment models are reshaping orthopaedic practice faster than most surgeons can keep up with. This half-day virtual course brings together orthopaedic surgeons working at the leading edge of each area to cover what has actually changed over the past year and what to expect in 2027. Sessions cover AI tools now in clinical and practice use, reimbursement and CMS payment model changes, the virtual MSK companies competing for your patients, and patient-reported outcomes as the way to measure what any of it is worth. Each block pairs a focused presentation with moderated discussion, and the course closes with a practical synthesis: what to adopt, what to watch, and what to ignore.

Spend the day with Board-Certified Academy Fellows in an intensive, hands-on virtual course designed to enhance your case preparation, presentation skills, and defense strategies.

Registrants have the opportunity to mock present their cases to faculty. Faculty will then share candid feedback and review your case documentation to ensure notes, images, and materials meet exam standards. Use their insights to identify areas for improvement and fine-tune your presentation approach and overall strategy. Leave the course confident and prepared, and ready to excel on your Part II exam!

Each participant is guaranteed time to present or review one to two cases, but please have up to three cases prepared in case additional time allows for extra reviews. Before and after a participants scheduled mock presentation, they are welcome to observe any and all topics and other course participants providing mock presentations. Observing is a great opportunity to gain additional insight and feedback.

Not sitting for the exam this year? You can participate in the course as an observer-only! Review pre-recorded lectures and observe live course attendees present their mock oral exam. There will also be opportunities for interactive Q&A discussions that you may participate in.
