Learn like you were there!
Take a virtual seat at a self-learning, online course! These programs bring more topics related to your specialty area for a standard set of 4 CME credits each. This AAOS CODOrthoXpress brings you video recordings of expert faculty discussing: Spinopelvic Issues in Total Hip Arthroplasty.
Course Description:
Spinopelvic mobility affects functional acetabular component position, prosthetic impingement, and THA dislocation. This symposium discusses spinopelvic assessment methods, risk factor identification, and operating room applications.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:
1. To understand how spinopelvic mobility and degree of pelvic tilt affect the desired functional acetabular component position. Also to understand both anatomic and functional femoral anteversion and the role these play in femoral-acetabular impingement in THA.
2. To learn how to perform a preoperative spinopelvic analysis and apply to data during the operative procedure.
3. To understand the validated spinopelvic risk factors which result in prosthetic impingement and postoperative dislocation in both primary and revision THA.
AAOS designates this activity for 4 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™.
