This event will preview the content of the upcoming 2022 AAOS/ASES Anatomic and Reverse Total ShoulderCourse to be held November 4-5, 2022 at the Learning Center. Expert course faculty will share their approachand techniques for managing patients with a B2 glenoid deformity.
Learning Objectives
- Registrants will learn how to classify and quantify the glenoid retroversion and posterior humeral head subluxation that characterizes the B2 glenoid.
- The role of plain radiographs, CT scans, and planning software will be discussed.
- Faculty will present surgical treatment algorithms covering eccentric reaming, anatomic augmented implants, bone grafting, and reverse TSA.
- Technical tips and pearls for correcting the bony deformity and balancing the soft tissues will be shown.
- Finally, registrants will learn when to use anatomic or reverse TSA for the severe B2 glenoid.
