AAOS OrthoSkills: Techniques in Sports Medicine and Total Hip is built for generalist orthopaedic surgeons seeking focused, practical training. This dynamic course structure was designed in direct response to participant feedback—offering more hands-on lab time than ever before.

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Sharpen techniques for ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, bicep tenodesis, and labral repair.
  • Cover various options for ACL reconstruction including autograft vs. allograft and hamstring vs. patella tendon vs. quad tendon.
  • Learn when to consider augmentation with lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) or suture augmentation.
  • Gain experience and expertise with both anterior and posterior based approaches for THA.
  • Learn and improve all A to Z steps in performing THA through different hip approaches.
