Description
The IDEA Grant Program fosters a culture within orthopedic surgery that is welcoming, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the patients and communities we serve. By supporting educational, community, and outreach initiatives, the program creates and expands pathways for individuals to pursue careers in orthopedics, nurtures a workforce that reflects the communities we care for, and expands access to AAOS learning and networking opportunities for all aspiring and practicing clinicians.
Join us for a virtual town hall meeting to learn more about the AAOS IDEA Grant Program—designed to support innovative projects that make a lasting impact.
Learning Objectives
• Highlight the new and revised application tracks to clarify the purpose, goals, and eligibility criteria for each track.
• Review the requirements for new and past applicants/recipients to ensure a successful application.
• Clearly distinguish between multiple program or track applications to avoid overlap in content, goals, or outcomes.
• Explain the criteria for becoming eligible for multi-year funding, including program establishment and demonstration of positive impact and outcomes.
