Description

This symposium brings together leading experts in adult reconstruction to explore the expanding role of robotic technology in complex hip and knee arthroplasty. Faculty will provide a comprehensive overview of the major robotic platforms currently utilized for conversion and revision total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA), highlighting key differences, clinical considerations, and workflow integration. Through detailed case planning examples and real-world surgical strategies, participants will gain insight into optimizing preoperative planning, enhancing intraoperative accuracy, and navigating the challenges unique to revision scenarios. Early clinical outcomes and emerging evidence will also be reviewed to help surgeons evaluate the value and limitations of robotics in this evolving space.

Learning Objectives

Objective 1: To review and compare the various robotic platforms available for use in THA and THA conversions and revisions in 2025

Objective 2: To understand the best practices for planning a robotic-assisted conversion or revision

Objective 3: To review early outcomes of use of robotics in conversion and revision THA and TKA to date
