Description

Discuss adolescent / teenage orthopedic trauma as it relates to fixation methods.  There are fracture patterns that we see where adult fixation methods are required in younger and younger patients.  The group will present multiple cases and discuss different fixation methods and approaches t these challenging problems.

Learning Objectives

1.  Discuss adolescent orthopedic trauma and how it affects our fixation methods.
2. Review different types of fixation and techniques in the adolescent patient.
3. Discuss differences and controversies in treatment of the adolescent / teenage orthopedic patient from both the pediatric and adult trauma lens.
