Description

Foot and ankle injuries in elite athletes present unique diagnostic, treatment, and return-to-play challenges. In this interactive webinar, an internationally recognized faculty panel will use case-based discussions to examine common sports injuries, including lateral ankle instability, high ankle sprains, Achilles tendon injuries, peroneal tendon pathology, and turf toe. Participants will explore practical treatment algorithms, surgical considerations, rehabilitation strategies, and the complex factors influencing safe and timely return to competition.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify key clinical and imaging findings associated with common foot and ankle injuries in elite athletes.
  • Evaluate operative and nonoperative treatment strategies for ankle instability, syndesmotic injuries, Achilles and peroneal tendon pathology, and other common sports-related conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment and return-to-sport plans based on injury characteristics, athlete demands, timing within the competitive season, and case-based clinical scenarios.
